The Bariatric Center for Weight-Loss Surgery offers three surgical options:

Gastric Bypass
Surgically alters the stomach to limit the amount of food you can ingest and decrease caloric absorption.

Adjustable Gastric Band
Adjustable, a purely restrictive operation that reduces food intake.

Sleeve Gastrectomy
A restrictive operation with changes in metabolism that involves the removal of a portion of the stomach.

The Center is also among the first in the country to perform nearly all procedures using laparoscopic technology. This minimally invasive technique reduces the length of hospital stay, diminishes discomfort, limits surgery scarring and shortens recovery time.

All weight-loss surgeries are performed while the patient is under general anesthesia. Our board certified anesthesiologists and our certified registered nurse anesthetists are trained and experienced in the care of severely obese patients.
